NEW HOME- NEW BEGINNINGS - HANDMADE WOOL APPLIQUE

Oh my gosh, we are actually making some headway.  It seems like forever since I've blogged, and I've missed keeping up with you and your blogs.  During this past month, we've taken so many journeys since announcing our relocation to Nashville, TN.  My husband started his new job yesterday, I'm back in Cincinnati staring at all  that needs to be packed.  However, I we are really getting down to business as we've finally purchased our new home....what a relief!  :-)

HOME SWEET HOME!

I love our new location as it provides us with what we need and keeps us fairly close to the downtown area. It also gives my husband a better commute to work.  Our deadline for all to be settled and moved is July 15th.

----------------------------------------------------

One of the first things I plan to see in Nashville......

Yes, its the American Pickers Warehouse - ANTIQUE ARCHAEOLOGY
It just recently opened and is located just a couple of blocks from downtown Nashville in the old Marathon Automobile Factory.

I can hardly wait to see all as I am a huge fan of their TV show.  A good chunk of what they offer is not for sale.....it's their collection which is fine by me as I love a good visual.
Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz - The American Pickers
The "American Pickers"  have two locations.  One in Iowa, 20 minutes from where I grew up and raised my family and now in Nashville, approx. 20 minutes from our new home..... a nice coincidence.  :-)

-----------------------------------------------------

Yesterday I snapped some pictures (took a break from packing) of my handmade to list on Etsy which I will be listing this week along with new patterns and books.

Once in Tennessee, I plan to open Prim Folk Art Shop - Part 2 where I will have Valdani sets, wool bundles, supplies, and handmade so that I can keep my pattern shop separate but in the mean time, you will find handmade in my Etsy pattern shop.

What you see in the above pics were intended for my retail shop, but since I had to close, I decided to put all in Etsy.  To survive my month of packing, I plan to take breaks in the evening to sit and stitch and will be updating Etsy with new handmade as often as possible.

Miss you all.....take care!

"I cannot count my day complete till needle, thread and fabric meet."

Hugs - Valerie

Your new home is beautiful and nice that you can still be close to the city without giving up living in a nice neighborhood.

Hi Valerie, So nice to see your beautiful new home in Nashville! I, too, am a fan of the American Pickers and watch it regularly. I remember being surprised to learn that they had a shop right here in Iowa. I remember the episode when they talked about opening the second store in Nashville. What a great location. Hope you settle in soon to your new digs. All the best, K—
