RELOCATING TO NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE

Hi Everyone,

Life is amazing as all can change in a blink of an eye. I haven't blogged for a while (as you can tell by the title of this posting) but yes, its true, we are relocating to Nashville, Tennessee. I am excited for this journey, but the goodbyes will not be easy.

The little bear, pictured above, has been residing in my retail shop, and he is my visual description of what is racing through my mind.  I find myself staring off into space wondering, where do I start with this journey.

HOWEVER, one can only stare off into space for so long.  As my daughter puts it...."rip the band-aid off mom" so this week I officially announced the closing of my retail shop.  We are moving due to a change in my husband's job.  :-)  We are excited and looking forward to new experiences together.

SPECIAL NOTE:  I also want to thank my blog friends who took the time to travel to Waynesville to visit my little shop. It was a true pleasure to meet all of you and I thank you for coming and for your business.  :-)  You're all so sweet!

On a different note.....

To take my mind off of moving tasks, I've run across some of Cheri Payne's  past designs and purchased them last week for my collection.  She is one my favorite folk art designers which you probably already know.  One day, I hope to have every single pattern that she has designed.  I think I am about two-thirds the way there.  lol

ONE MORE TIDBIT:   My Etsy shop will remain open throughout this whole process. I will have to close it for a week (during the actual move which I anticipate to be the end of May or early June), but upon arrival in Nashville, I will reopen and start in with a second Etsy shop.  My plans are to feature wool, valdani floss, buttons, notions and my handmade.

Take care and I will blog more after the dust settles.

Smiles - Valerie

I love Cheri Payne quilts too! Would you mind sharing with me the name of that first one of hers that is hanging above a bed in the picture? Thank you, and good luck with your move!

Oh I so love Nashville. Have never lived there but love, love to visit. So much to see and do. And I love the little town of Franklin, Tn. just a short jump from Nashville. Nashville has a wonderful huge flea market at the fairground once a month also. Ohhh, can I come visit??(lol). Hope your transition will be an easy one for you. Can't wait to hear about your move. Those quilts are awesome. I Love them all but the first picture is amazing. Have a great weekend

Oh, my goodness! How exciting! I don't know how the prim market is there but people love quilts and handmades everywhere. I am so excited for you! I actually know some musicians in Nashville. You will love it there!
I will pray for a smooth transition!
